What does it mean?

1 Corinthians 13:11 (New International Version)
11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.

How is it that the scriptures address behavior's that we dont like to obey? As adults we tend to still act like children when things dont go our way . As followers of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we have to be obedient to all the scriptures. What are you thoughts?

  1. Yes and being a mother of a 5 year old helps me to see how I am like a child. He is just the magnified version of me. For example - if he doesnt get his way he may throw his head back and slump in his seat with his hands folded; or stomp his feet and pout or the worst fall out on the floor screaming......since I am an "adult" I wont really do those things...but internally I will.....LOL....I've just learned how to supress it or be decietful about it....sigh...wow! God has a lot of patience - he doesnt respond to me how I respond to my child. =)
